To Be Still and Know...God Loves You Pt. 2

"And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus."  Philippians 4:19

Let's take time to be still and understand that God's love covers all areas of your life.  It's one thing to feel God's love and presence in the middle of an awesome church service or Christian conference or Bible study group.  But in the middle of your every day life, you know, the making of meals, cleaning the house, running kids here and there, laundry, dishes, demanding work schedule, parent teacher conferences, homework with the kids, never ending bills, making dentist appointments and yearly checkups with the pediatrician, changing diapers, calling the plumber or repair man to fix something broken in your house, sending the car to the shop, God can seem distant or indifferent to your daily life.  We forget that He very much cares about all of our life, every aspect of every day.  He wants us to take time to be still and realize that He is not only present in the church services and worship time but just as present in every moment.  To be still and realize this truth changes how you go about your days.  Your prayer life comes alive because you realize you can talk to Him all throughout the day, about everything.  I have times where I actually get alone and spend time doing nothing but praying and pouring my heart out to God but I also talk to him all throughout my days about everything.  When you truly realize that He's with you all the time, wherever you go and in everything you do, it changes you.  Your thought life changes and because you think differently you act differently and speak differently.  Understanding that God loves you so much that He, the Creator of the Universe, the Savior of our souls, cares about what we are struggling with, what we are happy about, what we are worried about, what we can't seem to let go, will make you aware you are never alone.  Never!  Even when nobody else sees what's going on, He does.  Even when it seems nobody else cares, He does.  "Give ALL your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you." 1 Peter 5:7   And do you know what's awesome about having a God who knows what you are going through better than you even know?  He has the power to change it.  He has the power to change you.  He has the power to give you hope and peace that the world can't give.  "Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.  His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."  Philippians 4:7
Sometimes when we are stressed out and filled with worries we want everyone to know, so we share our feelings on social media.  We turn to imperfect stressed out people who are searching for the same thing as we are to get our souls filled when we need to instead turn to the One who loves us unconditionally, who isn't stressed out, and who has the answers.  We need to be still and know that He loves us, truly, deeply, unconditionally loves us.  He wants us to be still and understand this truth.  Let this truth of His amazing love for us envelope us and change our lives from the inside out.  God loves us so much that sometimes he doesn't answer our prayers the way we think he should, because he has something better.  This is never because He doesn't care or He has forgotten about us.  This is always for our good.  Whatever His answer to our prayers may be, (and he always answers with either, Yes, Wait or No, never Maybe) it's for our best.  "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them."  Romans 8:28  This verse doesn't say that all things are good but that God causes all things to work together for good.  That doesn't mean that everything you want to happen will happen.  It means that if you allow God to work in your life and take control of your life (handing over the reigns of your life to God is much easier when you have taken time to understand how much He loves you and will always do what is best for you) He will work things out the way He has planned for you, which will always be for your best.  "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11
Stop right now and pray for the Lord to make you aware of His love and presence in your life.  Pray that God will help you trust Him with your day to day life and hand over the steering wheel to Him and trust that He can guide your life much better than you.  He has a plan for you because he loves you.  He created you with purpose and wants you to experience life at the fullest.  Are you ready?  Will you give Him your full trust?  Will you let His unshakable love change you from the inside out?  "For God saved us and called us to live a holy life.  He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time-to show us his grace through Christ Jesus." 2 Timothy 1:9
